Safety and honest limits
Draft, last updated October 2026
Placeholder — requires legal review before launch. This is a detailed draft that matches how Grade GPS is built, with [bracketed] details still to fill in. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Grade GPS does not claim FERPA, COPPA or any other compliance certification.
Grade GPS should help you learn, not add pressure. Here's what it does, what it doesn't, and how it's designed to stay on your side.
Honest about what works
- Google Classroom and Canvas imports are read-only and only work where they've been switched on — Canvas needs each school's approval, and some schools block outside apps in Google.
- A direct PowerSchool connection would need your district or an approved partner. Grade GPS reads screenshots you choose to share instead.
- Screenshot reading and note organization can make mistakes. You review everything before it counts.
- Focus mode doesn't block apps. It's a commitment you make with yourself.
Recording classes
Only record when your teacher and school allow it. Grade GPS asks you to confirm permission before every recording. If you're unsure, ask your teacher or type notes instead.
Grades and stress
A number in Grade GPS is an estimate, not a judgment of you. If a target isn't reachable, Grade GPS says so plainly and shows what is. If school stress feels like too much, talk to a counselor, teacher or someone you trust.
